Compact and battery operated, using a simple optical pickup, the logger can be quickly and easily installed with no physical connection to the existing electrical wiring.

Designed to detect the optical energy pulse from single or polyphase electronic meters, the logger stores half hour data in non-volatile memory for up to 250 days, controlled via an internal real time clock calendar.

The MiniLog100 will operate for between 8 to 12 months on 4 AA batteries depending on the type used.

With increasing pressure on reducing energy costs, access to accurate data is essential. As many consumers using less than 100kW do not have access to half hourly electricity data, without the installation of additional equipment, analysis of energy consumption is difficult.

Permanent installation of monitoring equipment is often not practical when undertaking short-term load profile analysis due to physical installation issues.

MiniLog100 provides a simple and accurate method of recording half hour electrical energy consumption, using a non-invasive technique.

Using the supplied software package, the recorded data can be download via the Serial Port, and converted into energy consumption values. This allows the MiniLog100 to be connected to virtually any type of electronic pulsing meter irrespective of meter type.

While primarily designed to record pulses from the optical pickup, the unit will also accept input from a volt free relay, from any utility metering device.

Options under development include:

  • Selectable 1 or 2 channel operation

  • Selectable 15/30 minute logging periods

  • Integral temperature logging feature
